How we collect and publish reviews
NDTAcademy.com, LLC
Effective Date: October 23, 2026
1. Who we ask
We ask every student who earns a certificate for a review, whatever their result or how long the course took. We ask on the certificate page, and by email no more than once per student, at least 7 days after a certificate is issued. We do not ask students on a company roster, whose employer arranges their training.
We never pay for reviews or offer discounts, prizes or other rewards for them. Writing a review is optional and has no effect on your certificate or your training record.
2. Who writes them
We do not write reviews. NDT Academy staff and their close relatives are not shown without saying so: their reviews start with a line that says they work for NDT Academy or are a close relative of someone who does, and they never appear on our home page.
3. What we publish and what we hold back
We publish good and bad reviews alike. A review appears only after our team checks it against this policy, and only if the student agreed to publish it. Otherwise it stays private and goes only to our course team.
We hold back a review only for one of these reasons:
- personal details about someone else
- offensive, harassing or sexually explicit language
- content that discriminates against people
- confidential, proprietary or export controlled information
- claims that are clearly false
- content that is not about NDT Academy
- a fake review, or a copy of another review
- a connection to NDT Academy that the review does not mention
The same rules apply to every rating. A review about our support, identity checks or billing is about NDT Academy, and we publish it like any other.
We do not edit reviews. If a review needs a change, we hold it back and tell the student why on their certificate page. The student can then change it and send it again.
4. What the labels mean
Verified student means we confirmed the reviewer earned a certificate in the course they reviewed. We check this ourselves. A review never shows the certificate ID or links to the certificate.
Verified purchase means the reviewer paid for the course they reviewed, on a review that is not tied to a certificate.
Took this course free means the reviewer did not pay for the course.
If the certificate or purchase behind a review is no longer valid, for example because the certificate was revoked, the review leaves our website.
5. Where reviews appear
We show reviews only on our website, ndtacademy.com. We do not use them in ads or on social media. Each course page shows the published reviews of that course, newest first.
Our home page shows the newest reviews from students who earned a certificate, one per student, whatever their rating, once there are at least 3 of them. A review whose main point is a result we cannot promise every student, such as getting certified, a job or a raise, stays on its course page but not on the home page. This applies to every rating.
6. Changing or removing a review
If you wrote a review, you can change, remove or delete it at any time from your certificate page, or by writing to privacy@NDTAcademy.com. A changed review goes back to our team for checking before it appears again. A review leaves our website within 1 day of being removed.
You keep ownership of your review. By publishing it you let NDT Academy show it on our website until you remove it (Copyright Policy, section 6). How we store and keep reviews is in our Privacy Policy.
7. Reviews are opinions
Reviews are students’ own opinions. NDT Academy issues certificates of completion for formal training. Certification comes from your employer under its written practice.
